6. Use of Large Language Model (LLM) Service Providers
Write-wise uses third-party large language model (LLM) services to process user-generated content and, where necessary, personal data via application programming interfaces (APIs). These services are used to enable automated text evaluation, feedback generation, and related functionality of the Service.
Write-wise relies on the standard terms of service, privacy policies, and data protection commitments published by the respective LLM providers. Write-wise does not enter into individually negotiated data processing agreements with such providers and does not have technical or contractual means to audit, control, or enforce the internal data handling practices of LLM providers once data is transmitted via their APIs.
Only data that is necessary to provide the requested functionality is transmitted. However, Write-wise cannot technically verify storage locations, subprocessors, or onward data transfers carried out by LLM providers.
Depending on the provider used, data processing may involve transfers to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Such transfers are carried out under the responsibility of the respective provider and in accordance with the safeguards described in their published privacy and data protection documentation.
By using the Service, users acknowledge that processing of submitted content by LLM providers is governed by the providers’ applicable terms and privacy policies and may involve further processing beyond the direct control of Write-wise.
